Personal change in the management of Bundesliga International

Robert Klein will leave Bundesliga International at the end of the year at his own request. The 51-year-old served as Chief Executive Officer of the DFL subsidiary, which markets the international audiovisual media rights to Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 matches for all platforms as well as central licensing and sponsorship rights, since 2018.

Peer Naubert, Chief Marketing Officer and in this capacity already responsible for parts of Bundesliga International’s operational business, will also take over Robert Klein’s responsibilities from the end of the year until further notice.

Donata Hopfen, Chair of the Bundesliga International Supervisory Board, said: “We would like to thank Robert for his commitment over the past few years and wish him all the best for his personal and professional future. As part of our strategic considerations, we are already working intensively in the Supervisory Board to develop Bundesliga International in the best possible way to meet the challenges of the future and to make use of the great potential in the international marketing of German professional football.”
